For over 20 years, The Senior’s Choice has trained and supported countless individuals helping them to establish nearly 700 private duty home care agencies in their own successful senior care markets worldwide. Steve is the former President & Founder of several companies including The Senior’s Choice. Steve is a successful entrepreneur having built and operated 5 different companies over the past 30+ years. Prior to that, he was a practicing CPA with Arthur Young & Co., the predecessor to Ernst & Young. He was a frequent guest lecturer and presenter on developing and operating senior care companies and issues facing the elderly and their families.
Meet Our President
Gary is an entrepreneur by heart. Growing up in Colorado, he started a marketing company at age 25. The business thrived by expanding services, acquiring its competitors, and adding Fortune 500 companies to the customer base. After selling the company, he relocated to Michigan so his wife, Kim, could be near her family.
At this time they experienced firsthand the challenges of finding quality homecare for Kim’s grandmother, GiGi. Unfortunately, GiGi fell down the stairs of her home and passed away quickly. Shortly after this tragic event, Gary felt an increased desire to help others, and the entrepreneurial bug bit again. He wanted to start his own home care agency that provided care at a higher standard than he’d experienced.
After finding The Seniors Choice in 2008, Gary launched Bayside Home Care which became a very successful agency until he sold it in 2021. Shortly after Gary became the President of The Senior’s Choice, the company that helped bring him success as a home care business owner. “Over the years, I’ve been blessed and fortunate to see how The Senior’s Choice has helped fulfill the dreams of those wanting to be successful home care business owners.
When I was offered the opportunity to become President, I was honored and jumped at it. Our membership model is a huge benefit in starting or running an agency compared to other options and I love our members!” Gary and his wife Kim now reside between their homes in North Carolina and the Gulf Coast of Florida.
